Did you click this link expecting to read more about Avengers: Age of Ultron? Sorry, friends. Surprisingly, Marvel Studios' latest superhero blockbuster was not one of last week's most-pirated movies. Instead, two much-smaller movies were bootlegged enough times to claim that (dis)honor, proving that it's not always the most-successful movies that are the most stolen.
Before I discuss the latest list of most-pirated movies, allow me to state that PCMag doesn't condone piracy in any way, shape, or form. Our mission is a simple and pure one—to inform you about what's happening in the online digital media world. Besides, tracking stolen movies is a way to gauge a movie's popularity beyond ticket sales. This week's most-pirated movie, for example, was a big-budget box office bomb. As always, we offer a shout-out to our friends at TorrentFreak for compiling the data.
Now that the disclaimer's out of the way, let's discuss pirated movies!
Two new flicks had the dubious honor of making it onto the most-pirated movies list this week: Infini and Run All Night, starring Daniel MacPherson and Liam Neeson, respectively. If you want to learn more about these movies, as well as the eight other films that were popular among pirates, check out the slideshow linked both above and below for more information.
When you're done, let us know what you think about the movies on our most-bootlegged film list. If you've seen these pictures and think they're worth watching by any means possible, share your opinions in the comment section below. We'd love to hear them! If you have strong thoughts about piracy, on either side of the equation, let us know about that, too.
And remember, watching bootleg streams and Torrents is illegal, folks.
